Pedro Miguel Freitas, collaborator of CEDU, was invited by the journal 'Diário de Notícias', under the educational project 'N@escolas', to participate in a session of clarification of high school students about the EU Penal Law (and Penal Process). It was a initiative of 'Diário de Notícias' that wants, above all, arouse the curiosity of the youth to the actual and important issues being the choice of the topic made by the students. The participants came from different areas like David Fonseca, Pedro Abrunhosa, Bagão Félix, Odete Santos, among others. 

The students of the Professional Multimedia course (11º year) of the school Benjamim Salgado in 'Vila Nova de Famalicão' wanted to work the topic of EU Penal and EU Penal Process Law - and that was exactly the Pedro Freitas debate's topic with the students: the possibility of the creation of a EU penal Law that facilitated the investigation of crimes and the enforcement of the sentences within the EU. The conference occurred on the 30 March 2011.
