Pedro Madeira Froufe, Professor of European Union Law at the University of Minho Law School - who had been a member of the CADA (Commission for Access to Administrative Documents) since 2014 - is now elected by the National Assembly to become an effective member Superior Council of Justice-

The hearing in the National  Assembly which precedes the election (Committee on Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Freedoms and Guarantees, chaired by Mr. Pedro Bacelar de Vasconcelos) took place on July 19, 2016.

Pedro Madeira Froufe is a Member of the Board of Directors of the CEDU (Centre of Studies in European Union Law) and of the Master of Law of the European Union of UMinho, as well as Director of the Department of Public Legal Sciences of the School of Law. CEDU welcomes this election.
