The Jacques Delors European Centre of Information awarded Sophie Perez Fernandes' dissertation "A responsabilidade civil do Estado-legislador por violação do Direito da União Europeia - breves notas sobre o caso português" the Jacques Delors Prize 2012. Sophie Perez Fernandes is a teacher at Minho University and CEDU's researcher. The ceremony took place in the Jacques Delors Library, in Lisbon's University's Rectory, on 9th May, Europe's day, at 5:00 pm.
The dissertation was presented by Professor Alessandra Silveira, CEDU's Director, because she was the advisor of the Master dissertation which was the origin of this award and author of the dissertation's prologue.
This ceremony was presided by the General Director of European Affairs, Dr. Francisco Duarte Lopes. The celebrations of Europe's Day, organized by the Commission Representation in Portugal with the initiative of the Entrepreneurship Grant, took place at Lisbon's University Rectory, where the Jacques Delors Library is.
