Professor Alessandra Silveira, CEDU's Director, and Joana Rita Abreu, PhD researcher and Collaborating Member of CEDU, were two of the guests of the activity "Round Table", promoted by APDE - Portuguese Association of European Law.  - on 24th January 2013, in the New Lisbon's University Law School.

The activity aimed a conference that pressuposed more dialogue with the audience, in which were called to participate all the National Rapporteurs of the Reports presented in FIDE's XXV Congress, that took place in Tallinn, on June 2012. 

The speakers had the chance of presenting the conclusions of the National Reports and to make the parallel with the General Reports presented during the Tallinn Congress.

Professor Alessandra Silveira and PhD researcher Joana Rita Abreu made their interventions under the topic "The protection of fundamental rights post-Lisbon: the interaction between the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the Eruopean Union, The European Convention on Human Rights and National Constitutions". 

In the other topics there were the interventions of Professor António Vitorino and Rita Leandro de Vasconcelos, Lawyer, concerning the area of security, freedom and justice and Pedro Gouveia e Melo, Lawyer, concerning the interaction of environment, energy and competition law.
