Under the protocol signed between the Associação Sindical dos Juízes Portugueses (ASJP) and CEDU, there are several judges from the courts of the north of Portugal that will be supported by researchers of this Centre of Studies, namely researchers with a Master degree and in the second year of that degree (preparing their Master's dissertation) in European Union Law.
The iniciative aims the interaction between courts and the University, through internships. With this internships, judges are available to interact with specialists of European Union Law.
The collaboration was started with a lunch in the restaurant "Solar do Arco", in Guimarães, last 25th October, promoted by the President of Guimarães Court of Appeal, Judge António Ribeiro. More than fifteen judges of the civil section of that court were in the lunch.
They will be supported by five CEDU researchers: Joana Whyte, Gabriela Faria, Maria José Dias, Filipa Fernandes and Cristina Pereira. After the lunch, Professor Alessandra, Director of CEDU, made an intervention concerning the theme "Interconstitucionalidade no contexto da União Europeia", that was used as the theme "General Culture" of the Centro de Estudos Judiciários of this year. Rita Fabiana da Mota Soares, was present in the reunion, representing the ASJP. |
