CEDU organized the 3rd edition of the simulated hearing "Court of Justice of the European Union - Minho's Section". The activity happened last 6ht June 2012, in the room 009 of the Law School of the University of Minho. There were three teams competing, composed by 2nd Year Students of the Degree in Law. They were coached by the students that represented Portugal in the Luxembourg's Regional Final of the European Law Moot Court Competition (ELMC) of this year: Maria José Dias Gomes, Joana Dias e Sophie Perez Fernandes. The juri was presided by the President of the Court of Appeal of Guimarães, Judge António Ribeiro, and by the following members: Judge António Sobrinho, Judge José Vieira Cunha, Judge Fernando Fernandes Freitas, Judge Rosa Tching and Dr. João Resende Neiva, lawyer, all students of the Master in European Union Law. The five teams had to solve a litigation of extreme complexity which was used in the Braga's regional final of the ELMC. Pedro Lemos e Marta Mendes had the best two performances - who have the oportunity of accompany the Master in European Union Law's students in the next visit to the CJEU. The activity was possible by the help given by AEDUM (Law Students' Association of the University of Minho) and ELSA- UMinho (European Law Students Association - University of Minho), as in previous editions.
