Court of Justice Simulated Hearing - Minho Section - 2nd Edition
 

CEDU has organized the 2nd edition of the simulated hearing of the Court of Justice of the European Union - Minho Section, that took place in the classroom 009 of the Law School of the Minho's University, in the 9th June, at 3 p.m. There were five teams competing each other. Those were composed by students of the 2nd year of the degree in law, and those teams had as coachs the students who have won the previous edition and that represented Portugal in the Dublin's Regional final of the European Law Moot Court Competition. The coachs were, namely, Diana Ferreira, Virgílio Pereira, Domingos Miranda, Ana Silva e Filipe Guerra, which had the help of Sophie Perez Fernandes, coach of the team that participated in the international competition. Like the 1st edition, the juri was presided by the President of the Court of Appeal of Guimarães, Judge António Ribeiro, and by the following members: Judge António Sobrinho, Judge José Vieira Cunha, Judge Fernando Fernandes Freitas and Dr. João Resende Neiva (lawyer), who are students of the Master in European Union Law of the Law School of the University of Minho. This activity had the support of ELSA-UMinho (European Law Students Association) and of AEDUM (Law Students' Association of the University of Minho). The juri enhanced the performances of the following students: Daniela Cardoso, Daniela Guimarães and Inês Fernandes. These students have the chance to travel, with the master students, in the next visit to the Court of Justice of the European Union.
