On October 18, at 11:30 am, there will be held in the Auditorium 1.01 of UMinho School of Economics and Management a debate on the "30 years of Regional Policy: the impact on the Minho region". Dr. Zuzana Gáková (Head of the Northern Region operational program at the Portugal and Spain unit, DG REGIO, European Commission), as well as Professor Alessandra Silveira (Centre of Studies in European Union Law, CEDU-JusGov, UMinho) and Professor Sandra Fernandes (UMinho Political Science Research Center, CICP, UMinho).

The debate aims to increase citizens' awareness of the activities carried out by the European Commission through cohesion policy, as well as their impact on the political actors of the Minho region and its business fabric, as well as raising awareness and involving citizens in the evaluation of the added value of cohesion policy in their region and in their daily life.

This debate is promoted by IPCA's Europe Direct Minho Information Center (CIED Minho), UMinho's Centre of Studies on European Union Law (CEDU - JusGov), and UMinho's Political Science Research Center (CICP)) , being supported by the European Commission Representation in Portugal and the Directorate-General for Regional Policy of the European Commission (DG-REGIO).
