INTEROP seminars on the judicial application of European Union law
 

As part of the course entitled "Seminars on the jurisdictional application of European Union law", taught under the UMinho Master's Degree in European Union Law, several seminars were held on topics directly related to the object and objectives of the Jean Monnet INTEROP project, as defined in the approved application.

By way of example, it is important to highlight:

*The fundamental dimension of the protection of computerized personal data (Alessandra Silveira, INTEROP academic coordinator, February 15, 2019 from 9am to 11am);

*The General Data Protection Regulation and its implementation in Portugal (João Marques, Member of the National Data Protection Commission, March 9, 2019, from 10am to 1pm);

*Justice and democracy: fundamental rights and public policy in the digital age (seminar cycle held in partnership with the University of Santa Cruz do Sul, Brazil, in person and via streaming, April 12, 2019, from 11am to 1pm and from 4pm to 4pm 18h);

*Biotechnology and European Union law (Felipe Debasa, Director of the Master of Laws of the European Union and China, Rey Juan Carlos University - Madrid, April 29, 2019, from 10am to 11am);

*Judicial review of sanctions in competition law (Maria José Costeira, Portuguese Judge at the General Court (ECJ), 17 May 2019, from 15h to 17h30);

*Competition law and the phenomenon of the "uberisation of the economy" (Pedro Froufe, INTEROP staff member, 24 May 2019 from 10 am to 1 pm);

*Jurisdictional interoperability, electronic justice and artificial intelligence (Joana Abreu, INTEROP staff member, May 31, 2019, from 10am to 1pm);

*Digital Single Market and coordination of social security systems in the EU (Sophie Perez, INTEROP staff member, 7 June 2019 from 11 am to 2 pm).
