Alessandra Silveira and Joana Abreu spoke on June 17, 2019 (10h to 14h30) at the Seminar "Fundamental Rights, Public Policies and Competition in the Digital Age", organized by the Faculty of Derecho of the Universidad de Deusto, Bilbao. The results of the research carried out by the faculty members were presented, as well as the results of the INTEROP project (especially with regard to the fundamental dimensions of the Digital Single Market, taking into account the motto proposed by the organizers), and joint plans were also devised, concerning activities related to the digital theme.

In the afternoon of said day UMinho researchers spoke at the V International Scientific Congress "Five centuries sailing the legal world" organized by the Universidad de Deusto in partnership with the Law School of the University of Malaga and Ateneo Law School of the University of Manila (Philippines). Alessandra Silveira presented the paper entitled "Freedom and security in the computerized personal data protection" and Joana Abreu presented the paper "Data protection and the transparency regime: challenges and paths in the light of artificial intelligence".
