UMinho EU law students had a class on "Multilingualism and Law: a professional opportunity" lectured by legal-linguists from the CJEU
 

A lecture on the functioning of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) was held on 1 April 2019, at 11am, on "Multilingualism and law: a professional opportunity". The class was taught by jurists-linguists of the CJEU to the students of the 2nd year of UMinho's law degree, under the coordination of the professors of the European Union Law - Alessandra Silveira, Pedro Froufe and Joana Abreu.

The lecture dealt globally with the composition and competences of the CJEU, its language regime, legal translation and recruitment modalities and requirements. The initiative was attended by jurists and linguists of the CJEU (Nuno Fontes, Isabel Macedo Correia and Inês Nogueira Leite), as well as a representative of the European Information Center Jacques Delors (CIEJD), Zélia Dias.
