On 8 October in Luxembourg, Professor Nuno Piçarra (New University of Lisbon), Collaborating Member of the Centre of Studies in European Union Law (CEDU) of UMinho since its inception in 2010, having participated actively in all activities and reference publications organized by the Centre, will take up his duties as (Portuguese) Judge at the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU). Professor Sophie Perez Fernandes, Lecturer at the School of Law and PhD Researcher at CEDU-JusGov at UMinho will integrate the office of the future Portuguese Judge in the ECJ as Référendaire.

Sophie Perez holds a Bachelor's, Master's and PhD in Law from EDUM.
