Jean Monnet INTEROP Project, developed by researchers from UMinho CEDU-JusGov, receives Erasmus + Jean Monnet Activities Sign

The INTEROP project, developed by CEDU-JusGov researchers from UMinho (Alessandra Silveira, Pedro Froufe, Joana Abreu and Sophie Perez), was distinguished by the EACEA (Educational, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency), through the assignment of an Erasmus + Jean Monnet Activities sign.

In a letter to the coordinator of the INTEROP project, Prof. Alessandra Silveira (holder of the Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Law at UMinho), the European Commission explains the purpose of this distinction:

"We are delighted to send you the Jean Monnet plaque, wihich the Executive Agency is awarding your institution.

The purpose of this plaque is twofold. It serves primarily as a label signifying quality in European integration studies and represents the achievements of your Jean Monnet Information Project in this field.

At the same time, it also provides visibility for the Jean Monnet Action, presenting it as the focal point within and outside its institution for the promotion of European issues.

We hope you will display the plaque with pride and wish you continued success in your European endeavors".

Among other objectives, the INTEROP Project aims to discuss with European policy makers the meaning to be drawn for the Digital Single Market, its potentialities and weaknesses, as well as what to expect in terms of its achievement and its impact on the European Single Market. context of the Member States. More specifically, it intends to test the scope of interoperability in the most varied domains and their operability.
