"The State of the Union" radio program (a partnership between Europe Direct do Minho, Antena Minho, Correio do Minho) on the Single Digital Market - July 27 at 7:15 p.m.

Researchers of the Centre of Studies on European Union Law (CEDU-JusGov) of UMinho participate today, July 27, at 7:15 pm, on the radio program "The State of the Union" (a partnership between Europe Direct do Minho, Antena Minho, Correio do Minho).

This July program addresses the Digital Single Market and its implications for the daily lives of citizens and businesses. In addition to the usual presence of Prof. Alessandra Silveira, holder of the Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Law, Prof. Joana Covelo de Abreu and Prof. Sophie Perez Fernandes will also participate on the program.

The three participants are part of the Jean Monnet project "INTEROP" - a project aiming, amongst other objectives, to discuss with European policy makers the meaning to be drawn for the Digital Single Market, its potentialities and fragilities and, as well , what to expect in terms of their achievement and their impact in the context of the Member States.

The "The State of the Union" program takes place on a monthly basis and aims at discussing the current European situation, seeking to inform and elucidate citizens about European issues relevant to their daily lives. The conversation is usually moderated by Dr. Alzira Costa, coordinator of the Europe Direct Information Center, and by Dr. Paulo Monteiro, director of the Antena Minho radio.

The program is broadcasted via Antena Minho radio station (106.0 FM) and can be followed through the Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/antenaminho/). It is also available in Antena Minho podcast (http://www.antena-minho.pt/podcasts.php) and in the radio station's Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzpv4vw_yRflJTAbYmNHsRw).
