On February 19, 2018, was held an Open Class on the Functioning of the CJEU under the subject "Multilingualism and Law: a professional opportunity" coordinated by Prof. Alessandra Silveira (Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Law).

The Open Class comprehensively dealt with the composition and powers of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), its language regime, legal translation and recruitment requirements. 

Legal experts from the CJEU, representatives of CIEJD (European Information Center Jacques Delors) and EU Law Professors from the University of Minho (EDUM) participated in the event.
