The APDE - Portuguese Association of European Law is organizing the sixth European Lunch, this time held in partnership with CEDU - Centre for Studies in Law of the European Union of the University of Minho.
 
This is an activity aimed at providing the debate on important issues of European relevance under the guidance of well-known personalities.
 
The European luncheon took place on March 30th 2016, at the Hotel Infante Sagres (Praça D. Filipa de Lencastre, 62, in Porto). It is organized in relation to the presentation of the book "European Union Law - Elements of Law and Policies of the European Union", a collective publication coordinated by Prof. Doctors Alessandra Silveira, Mariana Canotilho and Pedro Froufe, and has the theme "Immigration and asylum - Is the Union threatened?", Prof. Doctor Nuno Piçarra, Vice-President of APDE and Deputy Director of the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, was in charge of the presentation.

24 authors contributed to this book seeking to reflect the "state of the art" in the most varied material areas of EU law. It was held under the Jean Monnet Chair held by Alessandra Silveira, with the support of the European Commission. Link to publication: Almedina
