Mário Ferreira Monte, Joana Whyte and Pedro Freitas, Collaborating Members of CEDU, participated in the International Conference DAAD-Hochschuldialog mit Südeuropa which gathered professors, researchers, PhDs and postdoctoral fellows from Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal. The event took place Sep. 17th-19th, 2015 at Münster University, Germany. The conference was organised by Prof. Bettina Weisser (Münster University) and by Prof. Luigi Cornacchia (Salento University, Italy). The theme of the event was the Directive 2014/57/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on criminal sanctions for market abuse (market abuse directive). The objective of the meeting was to proportionate the dialogue amongst different jurisdictions revolving around especially the discussion on the Southern European Member States. Joana Whyte's presentation  was entitled "Landesbericht Portugal: The Need for a Market Abuse Directive in the Portuguese Legal Order"; Prof. Mario Ferreira Monte talked about "Kommentar Portugal: Strafrechtliche Verantwortlichkeit und Beweisführung bei Marktdelikten in Portugal?; and Pedro Freitas spoke on Market manipulation in Portugal".
