Professor Pedro Madeira Froufe, member of the CEDU's direction, gave an interview to the TV show "Antena Aberta" (RTP) on July 13 2015 in regard to agreement on the third bailout plan for Greece. The Professor defended the deepening of the integration process based on the reinforcement of economic and monetary union and a less strict posture in regard to sovereignty. The Greek case is a perfect example of how the model preconized by the Treaties was fully stretched. For other cases, we will learn about the solidarity limits when this is necessarily and mandatorily conjugated with the "coordination of sovereignties".  Therefore, there are one of two options: either we move forward towards more integration in a pro-federal state (classic model) or the possible risks are the ones that we can already perceive and that reveal a situation where things should never have reached the state that they currently face.

The journal "Jornal Vida Económica"published an article by Professor Froufe on July 10 2015. The author analyzed the public aid mechanisms in times of crisis (State aid to businesses). The author explains that the European authorities that are in charge of the competition policy would be more willing to be convinced by the interested States of the general advantages of some of the aid mechanisms when those could be perceived as forbidden.
