On june 4th 2014, at 14:00, on EDUM's room 009, took place the 5th CJEU Simulated Hearing - Minho's Section. Five teams composed by students of 2 nd year of the Law Degree, who had to plead on a case of high complexity, in a second moment of the competition the participants were asked questions by the jury. The case and the questions were based in the last edition of the European Law Moot Court Competition 2013/2014, Minho University hosted for the second time one of the regional finals of that competition.

As in the previous editions the Simulated Hearing Jury was chaired by Judge António Ribeiro, Guimarães Court of Appeal President, and by the following members: Court of Appeal Judge José Vieira da Cunha, Court of Appeal Judge Fernando Fernandes Freitas, Court Of Appeal Judge Rosa Tching, all students (or former students) of the Master's Degree on European Union Law. The wining student is going to be given the opportunity to accompany CEDU's group (composed by masters in European Union law, judges and prosecutors and lawyers) in the next study tour to the CJEU.

This year's winner was Vander Francisco da Silva (ERASMUS student from Brazil), there were also attributed two honorable mentions to Joana Filipa Polónia Sousa Batista Gomes e Rui Filipe Polónia Sousa Batista Gomes. Sophie Perez Fernandes was in charge of this activity's coordination.
