From 6th to 8th February 2014, CEDU promoted a European Union Law Moot Court Competition regional final. It is an event which enhances the study of European Union Law; it has the support of the European institutions and it mobilizes hundreds of European and American Universities.

To each regional final four teams were selected taking after the resolution of a high level of difficulty case law.  In 2014, the regional finals took place in Braga, Aix en Provence (France), Torino (Italy), Bratislava (Slovakia), and the great all European final took place at the Court of Justice of the European Union, in Luxembourg.

In Braga the teams competing were from the following Universities: Genève (Switzerland),  Heidelberg (Germany), Boston (USA), European University Institute - Florence (Italy), Uppsala (Sweden), Antwerp (Belgium), Latvia (Latvia), Aix en Marseille (France), Maastricht (The Netherlands), Paris Dauphine (France), Torino (Italy), Comenius (Bratislava), involving participants from 21 different nationalities.

The first day of competition - 7th February - took place in Minho University Law School and the second day of competition - 8th February - in the facilities of Guimarães Court of Appeal. 

This year the judges were Robert Lane (Edinburgh), Tommy Pettersson (Stocolm), Stefaan Van den Bogaert (Leiden), Erik Pijnacker (Amsterdam), Philippe De Baere (Brussels) the Portuguese judges were Carlos Botelho Moniz, Francisco Pereira Coutinho, Luis do Vale and Mariana Canotilho.
 
Maastricht University was the team selected to attend the final at the Court of Justice of the European Union.

The all European final took place at the Court of Justice of the European Union, in Luxembourg, on March 28th 2014, ten real judges of that Court attended the Final. The winning team was the one selected in Braga's Regional Final: Maastricht University.
