On 15 December 2011 took place the Public Ceremony to deliver the awards of António Sousa Franco European Prize. It took place in "Sala de Conferências da Reitoria da Universidade de Lisboa". The award aims to reward papers in European Union Law which are abble to deepen the european citizenship. It is annually atributted in two different cathegories: "Formação" and "Investigação". In the cathegory "Investigação", it was attributed an Honorable Mention to the paper submitted by Sophie Perez Fernandes, who is a professor of European Union Law in the Law School of the University of Minho, was a master student of the 1st Edition of the European Union Law Master of the Law School of the University of Minho and is also a Collaborating Member of CEDU. She has always participated actively in the events of this Centre. Between January and March 2012, the awarded is going to develop an internship in the office of Judge Cunha Rodrigues, in the Court of Justice.
