This meeting reunites public prosecutors from all over Europe (and Brazil). It is the result of an initiative of CEDU, MEDEL (Magistrats européens pour la démocratie et les libertés), ASJP (Union of Portuguese Judges) and SMMP (Union of Public Prosecutor?s), its main objective is to create a reflection and dialogue forum between researchers, public prosecutors and representatives of European institutions on matters related to European Criminal Law (in a broad sense, including substantive and procedural dimensions and also judicial cooperation) after the Lisbon Treaty.

In line with European Commission?s challenge brought up at the conference ?Assises de la Justice? (Brussels, 21-22 November 2013), with the objective of promoting public hearing on justice in the European Union and the future of politic and the priorities in that domain there is going to take place a broad debate on the problems related to the implementation of the European Public Prosecutor Office.
