On 29 October 2013, in Minho University Law School Noble Auditorium, CEDU in partnership with the European Parliament's Office in Portugal, is going to promote the presentation of the book "Commentary of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union", which was coordinated by Professor Alessandra Silveira, CEDU's Director, and Mariana Canotilho, CEDU's Collaborating Member.
During the European Year of Citizens, and in the Context of the Jean Monnet Chair Monnet "Citizenship of rights: European citizenship as the fundamental status of nationals of the Member States", CEDU publishes the "Commentary of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union" a pioneer initiative in the Portuguese language with the collaboration of 58 authors. The Office of the European Parliament in Portugal associated itself to CEDU in this presentation. This event intends to promote the dialogue between the drafters of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, its enforcers, academics and the Members of the European Parliament.
