Institutional Partnerships

CEDU has several institutional partnerships with various institutions.

Every year, with the support of the Court of Justice's services, CEDU promotes study tours for the European Union Law Masters Degree Students. to the European Union Court of Justice. These activities are supported by the Associação Sindical dos Juízes Portugueses, Sindicato do Ministério Público and Conselho Distrital do Porto da Ordem dos Advogados.

In these study tours, the students are given the opportunity to attend court sessions, participating in conferences (organised for this specific purpose), connect with Court of Justice's members and go to the Court's library. The best Masters Degree students are undertaking 3 months interships with Court of Justice Judges'.

CEDU signed protocols with Law firms (VdA and PLMJ), which already received CEDU's researchers as interns, so they can contact with European Union Law as the lawyers do.

CEDU signed a protocol with Associação Sindical dos Juízes Portugueses. It was established that CEDU's researchers will be given the opportunity to undertake internships with portuguese judges, mainly gathering jurisprudence in cases which involve European Union Law .

It was also signed a protocol with Conselho Distrital do Porto da Ordem dos Advogados. It was established between the parties that training courses on European Union Law will be promoted by CEDU and Conselho Distrital.

CEDU has signed  a protocol with APDE (Portuguese Association of European Law), who represents FIDE in Portugal (International Federation of European Law). FIDE is the main responsible for FIDE's Congress organisation which is the most distinguished conference in European Union Law.

CEDU established a partnership with Magellan (Association for the Representation of Portuguese Interests Abroad) turned towards the development of joint actions falling within the European Union functioning. Magellan has significant experience regarding representing national interests in the European Union's institutions and organs, as well as obtaining relevant information on European procedures of legislative production. Within the said partnership Magellan provides bimonthly internships for CEDU's researchers selected from the best students of the European Union Law Masters Degree.
